How much do you think we paid for this pile of lettuce? You can guess how much we paid for the fresh Basil to if you want, though I'm not sure I remember.

The good news: Fresh fruit is super cheap here when it is in season.
The bad news: You can only really get fruit here when it is in season.
The fantastic news: Just about every fruit under the sun grows here and every fruit has a slightly different season, so there's always something amazing to eat and it's always really cheap!

Today somebody thanked us for giving up so much to do what we do: a career, a stable living situation, etc. When my wife and I got home she and I talked about this and my conclusion was,
"When you're blessed the way we have been today, you don't come home and say to yourself, 'I wish I were doing something else.'"
